RS PRO Telephone Socket 1This RS PRO socket lets you connect your devices to the main telephone line with ease. It consists of a category 5e individual faceplate with an RJ45 connector. The plate is shielded, so its protected from power surges. This socket plate has a low-profile rear, requires punch-down termination and accepts wires ranging from 22 to 28 AWG (American wire gauge). This means youll need to use a punch-down tool to safely terminate the wires. The socket is rated to 100 MHz (megahertz) under the EIA/TIA (Electronic Industries Association and Telecommunications Industries Association) TSB40 specification. The terminations are colour coded to the T568B wiring specification. This telephone socket is RoHS compliant, which means it contains minimal levels of hazardous materials. It also comes with identification labels and mounting screws for easy installation.
